About the Project

Project Overview

Developed a focused, donation-ready website for the Forge Performance Lab Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit closing the access gap in elite youth basketball development across Northwest Arkansas. The site serves three distinct audiences simultaneously—donors, scholarship applicants, and corporate sponsors—with a clear, direct message: every athlete deserves elite development regardless of zip code.

Key Features Implemented

  • Mission-First Headline: “Every Athlete. Regardless of Zip Code.” immediately communicates the foundation’s core conviction and differentiates it from generic youth sports charity messaging
  • Three-Path Navigation: Clear, distinct calls-to-action for each audience—Make a Donation, Apply for a Scholarship, Become a Sponsor—eliminating confusion and guiding each visitor to their relevant action
  • How It Works Structure: Transparent three-step program explanation (scholarship applications, sponsor-funded access, full FPL programming) building confidence that donations translate directly to athlete access
  • Impact Metrics: Key statistics displayed prominently (NWA community focus, K-12 eligibility, 100% of scholarships funding access, merit-based selection)
  • Sponsor Recognition: Named sponsor showcase with Encore Bank featured as founding title sponsor, demonstrating community investment and incentivizing future partnerships
  • Donation Transparency Messaging: Explicit statement that 100% of donations go directly to scholarship funding with transparent reporting—addressing the primary concern of mission-driven donors
  • Why NWA Section: Regional context establishing the gap between NWA’s basketball talent and available development resources, grounding the mission in local reality
  • Long-Term Vision: Forward-looking content about multiple NWA campuses, summer camp scholarship tiers, and community open gym access demonstrating organizational ambition and sustainability
  • Legal Credibility: 501(c)(3) status and tax-deductibility prominently displayed to facilitate giving decisions

Target Audience

Primary: Individual donors and community members wanting to invest directly in NWA youth athlete development
Secondary: Youth basketball athletes (grades 3-12) and their families seeking merit-based scholarship access to Forge Performance Lab programming
Tertiary: Local businesses and organizations seeking meaningful, visible community sponsorship opportunities with direct, named impact

Project Outcome

The website successfully positions the Forge Athletics Foundation as a no-overhead, high-trust vehicle for community investment in youth athletics. The deliberate language—”This isn’t charity. It’s investment”—reframes donor motivation from generosity to community-building, resonating with NWA’s business-minded philanthropic culture. The transparent funding model (sponsor dollars directly fund named scholarships), clear eligibility criteria, and founding sponsor recognition create a credible, compelling case for giving at every level.

By serving three distinct audiences without creating confusion, the site maximizes conversion potential across donor types—from one-time donors to recurring sponsors to scholarship applicants—while keeping the mission front and center throughout.
